Kite fun
Guess what time it is blog time.
On Wednesday I started to make a
kite for school… day 1. I went down the
road to get some toetoe sticks
(cutty grass bush) once I got the toetoe
sticks I asked can I have a rubbish bag “Ok”
yeah.

I started to make the base of my kite it looked
like a cross, it was 90 cm long and 60 cm
across. Then I tided rope to the edge of my
kite and then I attached and measured out
the rubbish bag so it would fit around the kite.

The test flight didn’t go well I ran too fast and
the worst thing happen it flipped and it
crash-landed and broke a crossbar came
down NO! It’s ok I repaired it and this time I
sellotape all cracks so no air can fill up my
kite. That was fun

Because of the lack of wind I had to improvise
by getting down a fan a humongous fan and
turn it on to full blast mode. I was doing tricks
it was doing backflips. And I decided to add
another string so it is easier to steer and
control ya!

This is awesome Khan!! I really like how you improvised with the fan, what a great idea. Fabulous work.
ReplyDeleteWow a huge fan that does tricks! Fantastic investigating. I like how you used toetoe to make the frame! A good use of natural resources! I am glad you enjoyed making and flying your kite! Keep it to bring to school!
ReplyDeleteExcellent experimentation and problem solving Khan! I enjoyed reading your blog too, especially your great 'hook' at the beginning and also your use of personal voice.
ReplyDeleteHi Khan,
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had great fun making your kite, pleased you were able to fix it with sellotape.
What a great idea to improvise with a fan because of the lack of wind. I think lots of your class mates had trouble trying to fly their kites as well, because of the many windless days that we have had.
